We ate here on Friday. The restaurant was packed, so we took a seat at the bar for hopes of getting to eat faster. Racquel was the bartender/server and she was awesome. She got our drink order as soon as we sat down and our food came less than 5 mins after we ordered it. She was kind and efficient. Props to her and the kitchen staff for getting the food out quickly on a busy night!
Service was very good. Food a little to salty for my taste. Cabbage was over cooked.
I normally love this restaurant, but after starting a low carb diet, I found their "rules" about ordering sides/platters unfair. For instance, on the shrimp and catfish platter, they refused to blacken or grill the catfish, even for an upcharge. They also have some yummy homemade wings, but they will not let you sub the fries for another side (like their zucchini or broccoli) even though these sides are listed as the same price on the menu. I get it--it's much more cost efficient to have these rules. I work in the food service industry, so I get it. But the severity of these rules (come on, I can't have some damn zucchini instead of fries?) really did not make me feel valued as a customer.

I ordered catfish, macaroni and cheese, and fried okra. The fish was pretty good, crispy. The mac n cheese was decent. The okra was overdone and tasted like it was fried in the fish barter, not very good. Overall ok, but definitely better fish places in Memphis.
