My mom was admitted into Methodist Germantown over a week ago and her case worker and physicians recommended for my mom to go to a inpatient rehab. We were told there are only 3 in Memphis and to choose the one that is the most close to us and that would give her the aggressive therapy she needs....She has Medicare A and B and a supplement. Baptist turned my mom down with no reason why....my mom is very weak and has the symptoms of a patient that had a stroke. It's ridiculous how a team of physicians can recommend what is best for a patient and the family but Baptist Rehab is apparently looking at something else because they turned her down with no explanation why and if they reviewed her chart/records they would understand she is a great candidate. Situations like this make me wish I was wealthy and able to help out human beings. I would never turn a patient down for care, unless there weren't any beds left. Memphis please bring more options to the city!!!!!!!!!!!!!
