I went to this store at 8:28 am. I needed to print images from my mobile device and Sabet, an employee at the store, led me to a computer and told me to log in to my gmail account and then I would be able to print. Upon opening Google Chrome, I noticed that it had saved the last users email address. I typed in my email address and password. As an added security feature I have a verification that Gmail requires me to send a code to my cell phone to authenticate the log in. I received the code and tried to enter it into Chrome's website but there wasn't a field to enter it. I again clicked on send a verification code to my phone, but was not able to authenticate it without a field to enter the code. Realizing that I couldn't successfully get logged in, I exited out and told the employee that I couldn't get logged in and left the store to go to FedEx.
I contacted Customer Relations with UPS and the store owner Samina called me and denied that Sabet had ever logged into my account even though he admitted doing it, and told me that the text I received from Google was just delayed.
About a half hour later, I got a text from Google that my user name and password was used to log into my account.
I immediately drove back to UPS because I knew that I had not logged into my gmail successfully and that no one should have logged into my gmail account. Upon entering the store, Sabet, was sitting at the computer and I asked him if he had tried to log into my account and he said yes. I was very upset and told him that I did not give him authorization to log into my account. I know that Internet browsers can be set to remember passwords entered in fields on websites in a chain and don't know if this is how he was able to log into my account.
Beyond honored to know this store for the past 14 years. They are the standard for customer service in America today. I have been working with this store for 14 years and have entrusted Sabet and Samia with temporarily highly secure data (credit card data, password access). Both of these individuals live by integrity everyday. They have both helped me avoid getting overcharged, helped me avoid security issues (without asking for security information), and have left me bewildered by their attention to detail. The individual that gave the poor review and had the alleged google issue needs to consider this information: i just signed in from another device and i was notified 20 minutes later that "another device tried to log in". This is standard operating procedure for that platform. You can even get a delayed notification after logging in. In addition, with technology today, if you felt that that computer rental station had accessed your account-----------then it would leave an IP trail.... in essence, it would show that he logged in again (you said that "he said that he had logged in after you had left"?). I highly recommend that before you post allegations such as "unauthorized access" that you consider requesting UPS investigate the IP access.....otherwise, your story's genesis and iterations are built upon a technology misunderstanding, which happens to everyone all the time, but in this case the misunderstanding could easily lead to defamation--------which leads to undue emotional economic damages to hard working innocent people. This is a very unfortunate series of events for everyone that stems from not knowing how technology works (including the trail of evidence or lack of evidence of such a claim). If you don't request UPS corporate to track the IP access, then you are tacitly acknowledging the misunderstanding and then if you truly are a good person, you will remove your review. Blessings to everyone involved in this misunderstanding.
You may want to use FedEx. They never asked me to log on to a computer and I was able to simply email my images and keep my privacy and security in tact.
Time and again, this store has proved excellence in service. The owners are friendly, professional, honest, and efficient. I am always guaranteed the best rates and no waiting! I Highly recommend this business.
The employees are nice. Looking forward to going again !
I have known Samia and Sabet for years. They are very professional and honest people. They are courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this store
